40+ Years Of Experience

My first job was a dishwasher, my second job was a bicycle mechanic, and I have been wrenching on bikes more or less since 1985. I’ve been around long enough to have seen the birth of indexed shifting, carbon fibre bicycles, MTB suspension, hydraulic braking systems, electronic shifting, and most recently, modern electric bikes. During all those years I worked as a bicycle mechanic for a decade, raced road bikes, mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes, and track bikes for 25+ years, got bored with all of that, moved onto sales repping for a decade, got bored with that too, and eventually decided to open my own shop 15+ years ago.

They say10,000 hours makes a master, what am I if I have over 50,000 hours invested?

Thankfully, my full time wrenching days are over now that we have Kim here. Kim Goddard is our main technician and has been spinning wrenches and building wheels for over a decade as well. We are delighted to have her on out tiny team, including her kindness, attention to detail, and professionalism.

It’s been quite a journey and through it all my passion to help people find their way into the cycling lifestyle burns as bright as ever.
