CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED BIKES

A good used bike beats a low quality, poorly assembled new bike from Malwart every day of the week.

You'll get better quality, better parts, and a bike that's been serviced by a professional, not assembled by a kid who also assembles the barbecues. Bonus: you'll save money, rescue a perfectly good bike from gathering dust in someone's garage, and recycle a cycle back into service.

All used bikes are professionally tuned and ready to ride. 30 day service guarantee included and we endeavor to always have 10-15 bikes of various styles available and price points. Scroll down to get and idea of the bikes/prices usually available and pop by the shop to view our current and every changing offering of ready-to-roll used bikes.

We are honoured to be partnered with Bikes For Humanity and donate 10% of the profits generated by used bike sales to support their programs here and abroad.

Bicycles for Humanity is a grassroots movement that provides a bike recycling service. They take donated bikes and get them in the hands of people who need them in Calgary and developing nations. In many countries a bicycle is used to carry every load imaginable: people, livestock, water, fuel, you name it is it is being hauled with a bike. In North America millions of usable bikes are tossed into our landfills. We provide these bikes with a second life by empowering people with mobility that improves their lives.

Beyond simply giving out bikes, B4H work with NGO's in the developing nations to establish a Bicycle Empowerment Centre (BEC). Essentially, the shipping container filled with bikes gets transformed into a local bike shop. The team receives training in bike mechanics and small business skills. As the proverb says, 'give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime'.

Since 2007, B4H have shipped 15 containers of bikes with an average of 400 bikes per shipment. Since 2013, they have collected over 1000 bikes a year. As a result, most years B4H have been able to ship 2 containers a year to communities around the world. The remainder of the bikes support bike programs here in Calgary. Currently, the primary source of bikes for their programming is from partnering with the Spyhill Landfill to divert bikes out of the waste stream.

If you have some bikes to donate, feel free to drop them off during regular business hours.
