This unique rack is designed specifically for wire baskets that don't come with their own mounting hardware. The T-shaped platform may prevent the basket from bending or warping that can sometimes happen to well-used baskets zip-tied to narrow front racks.
The basket (not included) lays on a flat steel plate and bolted securely at three points.
The platform attaches to the front fork much like other front racks – a tongue extends to the fork crown and two solid struts connect to the fork. If used on a road or CX fork, the struts would connect to the pannier eyelets or the fender eyelets. (Mini-rack mounts might be too high to offer optimum support.)
– Platform size: 260mm wide x 140mm deep x 30mm deep
– The struts have a lot more width adjustment than on a regular rack, so you can fit roads forks or MTB forks as wide as 160mm.
– Struts are 390mm long and can be cut down to suit different forks
